Prof. Mike Conway is the Founder and CEO of XVenture, an innovative learning, leadership and media group focused on Creating Winning Minds in individuals, for great team success by developing emotional agility, resilience and leadership. He is the technical director of the UOW Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Program and has been working with Graham Arnold for the last 5 years, first at Sydney FC and then the Socceroos as the emotional agility and mind coach.
He also works with a number of other elite sporting teams including Sydney FC, Australian Women’s Cricket team, Chicago Fire FC, The Joeys, Perth Glory Youth team. He has also worked closely with the PFA to provide support to players around the world.
Mike is highly regarded also for his achievements and thought leadership in business and entertainment. Clinically- trained, with a background in health and behavioural sciences, Mike’s professional career spans the globe in executive positions building and leading global organisations.
Mike and his team at XVenture recently signed a partnership with Football Coaches Australia for the creation and delivery of the FCA Essential Skills Program available from February 2021 designed to engage and educate coaches from grassroots to professional on areas of emotional intelligence and agility, leadership, resilience, communication and culture. From February, all coaches completing the FCA Essential Skills Program will receive CPD points. The first initiative all coaches can participate in, in December 2020, is the highly innovative FCA XVenture Mind Games Cup (registrations close Friday 4th December at fcaxvmindgamescup.com)
Mike’s highly engaging and multi -media presentation titled “Mental and emotional agility coaching techniques for Performance improvement” will provide insights into exclusive and never before seen details of his work with Graham Arnold at Sydney FC and then with the Socceroos. It provides practical ways coaches can improve and uplift the performance of their team, and fellow coaches in preparation for the upcoming season.
